Culture Camp 2009, Jenolan Caves

You are warmly invited to the Living Country Culture Camp 2009 at Jenolan Caves Cottages, Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve, where the people of the Darkinjung, Darug, Dharawal, Gundungurra, Wiradjuri and Wanaruah language groups are hosting a Living Country Culture Camp to celebrate culture and share stories with you from 11.00am Friday 20 to 11.00am Sunday 22November 2009.

Please register by Friday 30 October 2009 to allow for catering.

What's On?

All day activities including:
  • cultural workshops and activities
  • information and consultation stalls
  • NPWS Discovery walks and tours
  • open mike on Friday and Saturday evenings
  • organised activities for kids
  • open camp fire
  • tea and coffee
  • all meals

Friday 20 November
12.00pm Welcome to Country and official opening of camp
1.00pm Lunch
2.00pm Workshops and consultation and kids activities
7.00pm Dinner
8.00pm Campfire and open mike
 
Saturday 21 November
7.00am Breakfast
10.00am Transfer to Jenolan Caves
Cave tours
12.30pm Picnic lunch at the weir, Jenolan Caves
Cave tours
From 3.00pm Return to camp
7.00pm Dinner
8.00pm Campfire and open mike
 
Sunday 22 November
7.00am Breakfast
11.00am Camp close and pack up
After dinner music and entertainment from (to be advised)

How much?

$60 per adult and kids under 13 years of age free. For more information go to Registration.

What to bring?

Camping gear (we can assist with tents/sleeping mats/sleeping bags, please indicate at registration), musical instruments……

What to leave behind?

Alcohol and non-prescription drugs - these will not be tolerated at the Camp.
No pets please Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve does not allow pets.
