Welcome

People of the Darkinjung, Darug, Dharawal, Gundungurra, Wiradjuri and Wanaruah language groups welcome you to the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

Living Country projects are part of co-management which is the cooperative, consultative, coordinated and considerate involvement of Aboriginal people in the management of the parks and reserves that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

In co-management with National Parks and Wildlife, now part of the Department of Environment and Climate Change, representatives of these groups are working on projects including cultural heritage mapping, Indigenous tourism, Indigenous education and culture camps.
